Evacuating Residents: Lessons Learned

Course Description

August 25, 2022
10:00 - 11:00 am HST

Emergency preparedness is a key aspect of providing care in a facility setting. In the event of a natural disaster or emergency, would you be prepared to evacuate your residents should the need arise? What does it really take to coordinate and facilitate the movement of all residents from one place to another?

Join us as Hale Kui’ke Residential Home Care shares their experience of evacuating their residents not once, but twice! We’ll hear about the logistics involved in executing their emergency plan; communication strategies with staff, residents and family members; and the efforts made to meet the needs of their memory care population amidst the transition.

This session will be recorded and available on-demand.
There are no continuing education credits associated with this informational webinar.
